In 1995, Mr. Fey worked as a Deputy Public Defender for Washoe County, Nevada, dealing with hundreds of criminal and DUI defense cases. In 1999, Mr. Fey again entered into private practice, forming a DUI law firm focused on defending those accused of driving under the influence (DUI) in Reno and surrounding areas.
Mr. Fey is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served more than six years on active duty with the Air Force as a Weapons Systems Officer. He is a decorated Vietnam veteran. After an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, he attended Nevada School of Law at Old College, and graduated cum laude in 1986. In 1987, he was admitted to state bars of both California and Nevada, and to the Federal District Courts of the Eastern District of California and the District of Nevada. In 1988, he was admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
